Biography
Born in Havana, Cuba on March 19, 1974, Vida Guerra is an American model, actress and singer. She moved with her family to Perth Amboy, New Jersey when she was only six years old. Being bright and outgoing, she quickly adapted to her new country and culture. She began dancing and modeling at a young age and strutted around in a g-string when she was 18 years old for a fashion show in New Jersey. Since then she has developed into the beautiful and voluptuous woman she is today.
Vida’s claim to fame came in the form of a lingerie photo spread for the December 2002 issue of FHM. A close friend suggested to the loans officer that she send photos of herself to the magazine, since Vida was always on the lookout for other modeling stints. She did just that and FHM found her submitted pictures very fitting for their recent search of “everyday” babes in lingerie. The pictures were posted in the December 2002 issue and since then, readers have bombarded FHM with letters demanding more photos of the “booty”-ful babe from New Jersey. She was naturally called back for more photo shoots and appeared scantily clad in the March and May 2003 issues of the magazine. She became FHM’s “Model of the Year” in 2004. She also won the magazine’s “Best Butt Award” twice. The Cuban-American model is now recognized nationally, her voluptuous body a fixture in many magazines such as DUB, Smooth, Escape and Open Your Eyes.
With the exposure in magazines, this busty babe began to enter the television business. She appeared in several music videos for different rap groups. She has also appeared in commercials, TV shows and a played a small part in the film, “National Lampoon’s Dorm Daze 2”. In addition to these projects, she has produced her own calendars and DVDs, including a DVD released in 2006 titled “Vida Guerra: Exposed”. She has also lent her voice to a character in the video game “Scarface: The World Is Yours”. Her media projects were not enough and in 2007, Vida released her first album on which she sings and raps alongside Paul Wall, Mike Jones and other pop stars.
She was the feature of several news headlines again when she appeared with tight end Jeremy Shockey of the New York Giants at the opening of Jay-Z’s New York nightclub. Although the rumored relationship with the athlete did not last long, Vida continued to make headlines as she is consistently listed among the world’s sexiest women.
In April 2005, her cellular phone was allegedly hacked and nude pictures of the model were widely spread through the Internet. Vida claimed that the nude photos were of another woman and that they were mixed with genuine photos of her to make them look like she was the person in the controversial pictures. Her record label, however, stated that it was indeed Vida in the nude pictures and that the model intentionally leaked the photos as a publicity stunt. She was consequently dropped by her label because of this incident.
Other notable facts about Vida: She has appeared on “Primped”, a mobile phone television program produced by GoTV Networks. She helps with the makeovers of three “average-looking” women. “You Got Me”, the first song from her debut album, was leaked to the Internet on November 2, 2006. She has also started to host a SPEEDTV show called “Livin’ The Low Life”, a show about the lowrider culture and cars.
